These are proposed pilot scenarios, not completed user tests. LAAC approves the tasks and criteria before testing and signs off after reviewing results and resolving launch blockers.
01Student summer discovery
- Task
- Select 2L, confirm summer availability, and compare a host.
- Proposed success criteria
- The selected stage persists. The reviewer can explain a recommendation and one requirement.
- Evidence to collect
- Student task notes; recorded inputs and expected results; unresolved barriers.
- Review roles
- LAAC-selected student volunteer and program reviewer
- Approval checkpoint
- LAAC confirms criteria before the pilot and accepts the documented result before the corresponding milestone closes.
02Before-bar clarity
- Task
- Inspect a graduate role and identify the facts still requiring confirmation.
- Proposed success criteria
- The reviewer distinguishes sample requirements from verified terms and locates supervision and study questions.
- Evidence to collect
- Comprehension notes; content-source review; corrections before signoff.
- Review roles
- Recent graduate and LAAC content reviewer
- Approval checkpoint
- LAAC confirms criteria before the pilot and accepts the documented result before the corresponding milestone closes.
03Employer preparation
- Task
- Reuse profile fields and prepare a complete example opportunity.
- Proposed success criteria
- Shared fields transfer accurately; role-specific terms are reviewed; no demo action publishes a real vacancy.
- Evidence to collect
- Field mapping; task completion; errors and recovery notes.
- Review roles
- Participating rural employer and LAAC program staff
- Approval checkpoint
- LAAC confirms criteria before the pilot and accepts the documented result before the corresponding milestone closes.
04Career-services advising
- Task
- Use the guide to help a fictional student choose a next action.
- Proposed success criteria
- The advisor can identify a relevant route, preparation resource, and source to check.
- Evidence to collect
- Advising-session observations; missing-information list; revised guidance.
- Review roles
- Law-school career-services reviewer
- Approval checkpoint
- LAAC confirms criteria before the pilot and accepts the documented result before the corresponding milestone closes.
05Staff independence
- Task
- Edit, verify, approve, inspect the public preview, and restore a revision as draft.
- Proposed success criteria
- The public sample matches the approved revision. Restoration cannot bypass approval.
- Evidence to collect
- Revision history; keyboard walkthrough; staff task notes; remediation record.
- Review roles
- LAAC editor and designated acceptance lead
- Approval checkpoint
- LAAC confirms criteria before the pilot and accepts the documented result before the corresponding milestone closes.
The milestone evidence packet
For each milestone: delivered work and version, acceptance criteria, test or review records, open issues, LAAC’s acceptance confirmation, and the matching itemized invoice. Training records and the final handoff inventory join the closeout packet.
Biweekly progress reports connect completed work, decisions, risks, and next steps. Records support LAAC’s grant reporting; funding-body acceptance is not guaranteed.
